The Panasonic Viera Plasma th-42pZ85 has the latest 100Hz Double Speed motion technology to ensure you enjoy smooth video quality. All adjustments and setting up are remotely handled from your comfort of your sofa, using your handset to control the OSD (On Screen Display).

The 2008-2009 model is HD (high definition) Ready, so it can display high definition signals using a separate HD receiver.

HD signals are broadcast at higher resolution than traditional analogue or digital broadcasts, so you get much better, sharper images on screen. The image quality is really impressive, with sharp, clear, rich vibrant detail.

High definition in its purest form is produced by the 1080p processor. The information making up the image is produced progressively, all at once, instead of being interlaced.

This gives smooth, film-like images, ideal for watching sports and movies on the wide screen, which boasts a contrast ratio of 30000:1.
